The Australian politician Jay Weatherill who was serving as Premier of SA has retired from politics. While addressing in the Parliament, he gave his thanks to Labor party by describing he was really pleased to be part of the state government. Weatherill also said he is really thankful for his team and constituents. He was accompanied by his wife and daughters in the Parliament who were present during the retirement speech.
Jay Weatherill also talked about his challenges faced during his leadership, global financial crisis and mainly during the Olympic Dam mine related issues. There were also other members from his party who praised him mainly Peter Malinauskas, the Labor leader who said Weatherill had more self belief. As Jay Weatherill is out of politics, the party attention will be replacing a perfect person in his place. Joe Szakacs, the state secretary of SA Unions is also one of the choices for this position.
