There was a special bill that was supposed to be put on Senate floor on Wednesday, but it was not allowed. This bill is expected to protect the special counsels like Robert Mueller. According to Mitch McConnell, the Majority leader this bill in unnecessary to be on Senate floor. The supporters of the senators were aware of the bill to be blocked, but the pressure will be maintained as it is right now.
This bill was carried out by Cory Booker and Chris Coons who had also tried to pass the same knid of bill once the Whitaker was appointment earlier this month, but it was blocked. According to a report, Republicans can make the bill to enter into a voting pattern to get the majority to get it passed on the Senate floor. Chris Coons is confident to get the required vote to get the bill passed and continue the same.
