Kim writes to Trump showing interest for another round of talk

It seems soon the world would witness another round of nuclear talks between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The president said Tuesday a beautiful letter has been received from Kim expressing confidence that both the sides could strike a deal.

Briefing to reporters earlier today, before heading on a trip to Iowa, Trump said both have a good relationship together and another meeting between them could take place.

North Korea thereafter resumed short-range missiles testing raising questions whether Kim would again be interested in negotiations over denuclearization.

National security adviser John Bolton then said the tests were violating United Nations Security Council resolution, but later Trump stated he is not bothered by the missile launches.

Meanwhile, Trump had praised Kim on several occasions calling him a smart man.

The president said Tuesday a beautiful letter has been received from Kim expressing confidence that both the sides could strike a deal.

Senior research fellow at the Korea Defence and Security Forum, Yang Uk, said the tests are expression of North Korea’s frustration over stalked talks with the US.

Later in June the president would be attending the Group of 20 Summit in Osaka, Japan.
