Canada has confirmed about a new trade deal with U.S. and Mexico. The North American agreement would be called as USMCA that will come into effect after the approval from legislatures from these three nations. Vice President Mike Pence is also expected to meet the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau in this week.
Chrystia Freeland, the Canadian Foreign Minister had a discussion with Robert Lighthizer as well as Mexico’s government related to the trade agreement. The new trade deal is expected to get passed by the Canadian government this summer. The U.S. has been the nation’s major trading partner which is also a top priority for the Trudeau’s administration.
