Huawei and China big loser in 5G dispute with Trump: Source

The race to build next-generation 5G wireless technology is on and amid such phase President Trump’s blacklisting order for Chinese telecommunications networking equipment maker Huawei is like an opportunity-lost future for the company as well as for China.

An industry insider said Huawei and China needs United States more than vice versa.

Trump administration alleges the company poses a national security threat as it has close ties with the communist Chinese government.

The administration announced Wednesday US firms need approval from the government for doing business with Huawei.

Meanwhile, Huawei has denied the allegations saying blacklisting them won’t make America stronger or more secure, but in fact the move would limit the country to inferior and expensive alternatives.

The source, who is a top CEO and investment banker, said US will deploy best and innovative 5G services in the world irrespective of which company provides the infrastructure.

Trump administration alleges the company poses a national security threat as it has close ties with the communist Chinese government.

He added, “Does it matter if you use a Chinese manufactured phone or computer to access Facebook or Google. No.”

The Trump administration has also warned its allies across the world to avoid 5G technology of Huawei as it could be used for spying by the Chinese government.
