Ex FBI Chief Comey Says That Trump Would Have Faced Charges If He Wasn’t President

Former Director of the FBI, James Comey, who was fired by Donald Trump believes that the President would have had to face charges if he was not in office. The evidence laid out in Special Counsel Mueller’s report regarding the Russian interference in the 2016 election is substantial enough to charge Donald Trump.

James Comey has said tat there were numerous examples of possible obstruction of justice by the President as outlined in the special counsel’s report. The report had mentioned about the sweeping and systematic interference of Russia in the Presidential Elections that sent Donald Trump to the White House.

Comey made these comments as more than 800 former federal prosecutors signed a public letter that said Mr Trump would face charges over obstruction of justice throughout Mr Mueller’s investigation were he not to have won the election.

Mr Comey went on to say he believed it was possible the Russians had some form of leverage over the president.
