Shinzo Abe Speaks To Lee Su-hoon About Bilateral Ties

Shinzo Abe had a discussion with Lee Su-hoon where he mentioned about the tainted relationship between both Tokyo and Seoul. The bilateral ties must be passed to South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The ambassador has been replaced by former second deputy chief of National Security Office Nam Gwan-pyo.

Abe mentioned about South Korea court’s decision related to Korean plaintiffs against Japan companies on wartime labor as well as recent developments about surviving comfort women. Tokyo has requested Seoul to follow the 1965 bilateral treat and there was a proposal of bilateral talks in January but there is still no reply from the South Korean government related to this.
