The Labor party has been targeting the government over using taxpayer money on advertising government programs. Mathias Cormann, the Finance Minister was present during a debate related to this issue at the Senate committee. He said all the ads on various sources gave details to the people about their business concessions, cyber safety and power bills.
Cormann did not mention about the exact amount spent on the advertising by the government. The complaint about spending taxpayer money by the government has been raised only after presenting the budget, he added. The government has not answered the questions raised by the opposition party as the ministers assured of transparency in the amount spent.
