In an effort to “persuade” terrorists to disclose further information regarding future attacks, and even interrogate 9/11 suspects, C.I.A. is considering using an new method, a sort of truth serum that can aid them in loosening tongues and acquire more intelligence.
Dubbed as “Project medication”, it is a report which resembles a literature review based on several months of research done by C.I.A. psychiatrists in order to find out if certain medications or drugs could aid their “enhanced interrogation techniques”.
This was released to the ACLU after almost a 2 years battle to obtain, and through this new program, C.I.A. hopes to tamper with terrorist memories, perhaps tricking them into believing that they already disclosed information, thus encouraging them to continue to divulge all their secrets.
