SC-ST act may have major impact on the upcoming state elections in India (MP and Rajasthan) and ruling party, BJP as well as main opposition INC may have to see major deficit.
People of 5 states will vote for their favorite political parties in upcoming state elections in India – namely, Chhatisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mizoram and Rajasthan.
Out of these 5 states, three states are from North India – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhatisgarh. And, Madhya Pradesh as well as Rajasthan is well known for their Rajputana (Kshatriya) history.
And that is why the SC-ST act, passed by Indian Government, after the judgment from Apex Court for some minor changes in this act may affect the election results.
Ruling party in both the states is Bhartiya Janta Party that has a strong hold among the “Savaranas” (means upper caste in Hindus). And this act will directly affect them as if any Schedule Cast/Tribe person accuses them for any reason (even without any evidence), they can’t apply for the bail in any court before 6 months.
Many disputes have been there for this act before and that’s why Apex Court issued the guidelines that accused will get bail and he/she will only be arrested after the proper inquiry by supervised by a senior police officer.
