UK and Spain have signed a new Gibraltar agreement which will be applicable even after no-deal Brexit. Some of the economists have also said Britain is good to have a no-deal Brexit. According to Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo Spanish cabinet will support a no-deal and also get into tax agreement whereas the UK Government will be signing the deal on Monday. This deal will ensure that Gibraltar will be under British territory no matter what happens with Brexit.
There is no response from UK and Gibraltar related to this deal, but both of them will be finalizing it very soon as per the report. Spain has been trying in an attempt to take control of Gibraltar or make concessions related to the border territory during the Brexit talks. With this new agreement the British status for the territory will have same status after the official confirmation and the Spain’s access will remain same even after Brexit.
