New Election For 9th Congressional District In North Carolina

The elections board of North Carolina has given orders to 9th Congressional District for new election as there were allegations of ballot tampering. The election board had voted with a result of 5-0 for the new election but the date has not been announced yet. The election was held in November last year where Mark Harris from the Republican Party was leading over Dan McCready from Democrat Party even though the final results were not revealed due to absentee ballot.

The hearing for this case has been undergoing from Monday and the witnesses were testified including several wrong activities during the election. Bob Cordle, the elections board chairman said that the North Carolina people have all the right to vote in the election without any concerns and their votes must be counted in a fair way. Dan McCready has already started to prepare for the election and would start his campaigning process once the date is announced.
