Vladimir Putin, the Russian President is expected to address annual state of the nation due to the fall in his ratings due to economic problems. This is the first time when Putin will be speaking when the both houses in the parliament are present. He also spoke before being re-elected where he promised to provide high living standards for the people and also greeted the strength of Moscow’s military. This increased his approval rating to a new level since his role as the president in 1999.
Putin gave a 2 hour speech last year during the introduction of new weapons which came out a surprise for many which improved his popularity. There was a poll released last year in October where Vladimir Putin will be getting only 40 percent of vote if the elections are held that time. Another a survey in January showed the approval rating of the President is 64 percent which is comparatively very low.
