Scott Morrison, the prime minister of Australia said that some of the political parties and their computer networks have been breached with malicious activity. He said while addressing related to violation of computer network in the Parliament House and there is no breach in the electoral system even though we have taken measures maintain it reliably. The cyber security must ensure to provide the necessary support the political parties or the electoral body looking for, he added.
Morrison also said the government has informed the electoral commissions in our state and the cyber security agencies which can help to find the malicious activity in the network. There were no details about who were behind the breach of computer networks and we don’t want to express the concerns about the operational matters, he added. The breach in the network has been detected and action has been taken by the security agencies decisively to handle the situation according to the prime minister.
