New CDU Chief Speaks About Migration And Refugee Crisis

Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, the new chief of Christian Democratic Union party is expressed her wish to close the border to stop migrants entering into the country. She also hinted at the refugee crisis that happened in 2015 where many migrants started entering into Germany. We must not repeat the same thing again and also prevent it at any cost, she added. The migrants must be monitored carefully to avoid any refugee crisis in future.

In 2015 around 13,000 migrants were allowed in a day to enter into the country as there were no strict rules implied by German chancellor related to the border. This move was supported by some of the people during that time, but it also damaged CDU’s image in some parts of the country. The CDU had conducted a number of researches related to migrants and border security. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer got selected as the new CDU chief last December after Angela Merkel stepped down.
